Kaizer Chiefs are thought to have maintained their interest in Black
Leopards midfielder, Meshack Maphangule, and could make a move for him
in the next transfer window.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, Siya sources have
suggested that the player is eager to take the next step in his career
by following his former teammate, Siphelele Ntshangase (who joined
Baroka FC), into the Absa Premiership.
Although Maphangule is currently nursing an injury, the Siya crew has
been led to believe that Amakhosi are keen to make a move for the
26-year-old as they look to turn around their fortunes and bring some
silverware back to Naturena.
The midfielder played the first game of the current season in August,
but hasn’t featured since then – he also only managed to make 11
appearances in all competitions for Lidoda Duvha last campaign – but it
appears that Steve Komphela has seen something in the player.
The crew will keep tabs on Maphangule’s situation as the January window approaches.
