PSL Duo In Trouble With The League

The PSL duo of Ajax Cape Town and Free State Stars are in trouble with the league, following disciplinary issues.

The PSL has confirmed that both the Urban Warriors and Ea Lla Koto have been fined by the league and a statement has been issued the charge and the fines payable by the two clubs.

“The following matters were set down for hearing by the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee.
“AJAX CAPE TOWN: The club was charged with failing to provide adequate security at its home venue during their Absa Premiership fixture against Free State Stars FC on 17 March 2017. This resulted in a spectator throwing an object at the match officials. The club admitted liability and paid a fine of R 11 400.00.

“FREE STATE STARS: The club was charged with failing to comply with the PSL Compliance Manual after their representative failed to arrive on time for the pre-match meeting ahead of their Absa Premiership fixture played against Ajax Cape Town FC on 17 March 2017. The club admitted liability and paid a fine of R 5 700.00,” the league confirmed in a statement.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Sibusiso Vilakazi says that is has been a while since the Brazilians tasted glory but they will try their best to go all out and claim the Telkom Knockout Cup this season. This week, we hear from Supporters Club Committee Member Masilo Machaka on the TKO last 16 results, as well as the upcoming quarter-final round.
