Manyama Opens Up About His Move To Turkey

Lebogang Manyama has opened up about what it has been like adjusting from Cape Town to Turkey.

The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana international completed his move from Cape Town City to Atiker Konyaspor after the closure of the South African transfer window on August 31.

Speaking to the South African Football Association’s website, Manyama has revealed how he has adjusted to his first move to Europe.

“First and foremost, it was a dream come true, I wanted to go test myself in Europe and luckily I went to a team that is more or less like Cape Town City, family-wise. Everybody was welcoming, it’s just a matter of me putting in good performances week in and week out and things will get better from there,” the Bafana international said on SAFA’s official website.

“The level of professionalism is very high, players are more focused on being very good at playing the ball technically, the pace is not the same as we have in South Africa and teams don’t go pound for pound – it’s more tactical, you have to know where to be at the right time. It has been a very good adjustment and I still have a lot to learn,” he added.

City To Extend Ndou’s Stay?

Sources have alerted the Siya crew that despite earlier reports that Polokwane City intended to part ways with veteran striker Rendani Ndou, the Limpopo-based club may now look to retain the services of the 30-year-old forward. Ndou has been with Rise and Shine for the past three years and reports surfaced that he could be making an exit when his contract comes to an end. However, Siya sources have revealed that City may look to keep the experienced striker at the club.
