Matlaba Not Happy With Dropped Points

Orlando Pirates captain Thabo Matlaba admits that his side needs to collect maximum points at home.

Despite taking the lead in the 46th minute after a thunderous 16-yard effort from Matlaba, the Buccaneers conceded three minutes later when Bonginkosi Ntuli equalised for Dikwena.

Matlaba, himself, had a fantastic game and was handed the Man of the Match award for his efforts but he admits that Pirates are not happy with the draw at FNB stadium.

“We didn’t play well in the first half,” Matlaba told SuperSport after the game.

“In the second half at least we created chances. We were able to play and circulate the ball.

“We are not happy with the draw. This is our home and we need to collect maximum points.

“Overall I thought we played well.”

“Now we are going to prepare for the derby (against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday).”

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Sibusiso Vilakazi says that is has been a while since the Brazilians tasted glory but they will try their best to go all out and claim the Telkom Knockout Cup this season. This week, we hear from Supporters Club Committee Member Masilo Machaka on the TKO last 16 results, as well as the upcoming quarter-final round.
